The functionalities regarding the final beneficiaries of the PNRR IT platform were successfully tested and presented to the European Commission (EC), informs the Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE).
According to the cited source, on Monday, August 1, 2022, the online meeting took place with representatives of the European Commission to test the functionalities of the PNRR IT management platform by completing the IT system with information necessary to identify the real beneficiaries of the payments, according to Agerpres.
“The technical testing took place between 16:00 and 18:30, during which MIPE demonstrated the functionality and operability of the platform, providing answers to the questions asked by the CE,” the press release states.
Thus, following the conclusions of the online meeting, the first payment request from PNRR follows its validation procedure according to Regulation 241/2021, MIPE remaining at the Commission’s disposal for additional clarifications.
The payment procedure involves going through the following stages: approval of the EC interservice for issuing the preliminary positive opinion; submitting the payment request to the Specialty Committees of the ECOFIN Council; payment approval in the Council of the European Union – ECOFIN.
MIPE recently stated that in August the activity of the European Commission services is greatly reduced due to the large number of holidays, which is why the payment of the tranche of 2.6 billion euros can take place at the end of September 2022.
