Mircea Man, the vice-president of ANRE, announced announced during the Energy Forum – Renewables event organized on Thursday, May 11, by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania (CCIpR) that ANRE is preparing a series of measures that “amend the existing orders, precisely for the flexibility of connection to transmission and distribution grids.” He also added that ANRE is preparing an order to allow distribution operators to produce energy for Technological Self-Consumption (CPT).
“If in 2022 we had 55,000 prosumers, our estimates for 2023 are of somewhere around 100,000. There are a lot of interested citizens and we cannot leave them to chance, without having a direct collaboration with the distributors, to strengthen the networks. Today, unfortunately, this development of prosumers, I would say with responsibility that it is somewhat chaotic and depending on the capacities of each family to invest. We, as far as the Authority is concerned, had an open dialogue with all the operators. We recognize all investments in tariffs. We encourage them… even those on European funds, which are not included in the tariffs, we recognize a percentage as an investment. The authority will be open to any initiative of the operators, which respects the primary law, adapted in the secondary legislation. That’s why the project submitted on May 5 can be seen on the ANRE website and those interested can come up with proposals,” said Mircea Man.
“Today we are bombarded with many petitions at the Authority. Many are related to the price of the invoices, but most are related to the connections to the distribution and transmission system. Of course, here we will improve the regulations we have and we will have a direct approach, as far as possible, in favor of the applicants. Because the development of production capacities is a priority for Romania and also the developemnt of storage,” said Mircea Man.
At the same time, ANRE is preparing an order to allow distribution operators to produce energy for Own Technological Consumption (CPT).
“A big problem is represented by Own Technological Consumption (CPT). That is why we are preparing an order by which we allow distribution operators to produce their own energy for CPT – something that could not be done until today,” stated the vice-president of ANRE.
At the same time, it is important that all production capacities also have storage, he concluded.
