Hungarian company MOL, that owns the national gas transporter FGSZ, announced that the BRUA works have started.
“The construction works for the Romania-Hungary project, Phase I, are in progress. Thanks to the new station at Csanádpalota, the current interconnection will offer a bidirectional capacity of 1.75 billion cubic meters on the Hungary-Romania route starting on October 1, 2019 “, according to a report of the Hungarian oil group MOL, submitted to the general assembly shareholders on April 11.
FGSZ, the national gas transport company in Hungary, is part of the MOL oil group, this operation being completely different from the local energy system, broken into pieces for compliance with EU directives, according to zf.ro.
Hungary has a natural gas consumption of about 10 billion cubic meters per year.
