MOL Romania and the Community Foundation are launching the 16th edition of the MOL Talent Promotion Program for young athletes and high-performing artists. The Program organized on the basis of a project competition provides financial support in the total amount of 560,000 lei for the purchase of materials, equipment or to cover the costs of participation in competitions.
“We are glad that by supporting the longest-running project competition in the country in this field, we have also contributed to the training of some athletes who have become part of the Romanian Olympic Team. The MOL Talent Promotion Program is an excellent example of the results of years of work in support of talent and performance. We want to show the wonderful young people from the communities where we operate that through work, perseverance and consistency talent is developed, perspectives and even destinies can be changed,” said Camelia Ene, Country Chairman & CEO of MOL Romania.
Four athletes supported in previous editions of the Program qualified for this year’s Summer Olympics. Szocs Bernadette – table tennis, Robert Glință, Daniel Martin and David Popovici – swimming, are beneficiaries of the MOL Talent Promotion Program, editions 2009, 2012-2018, 2016-2018 and 2020, respectively 2018 and 2020, and are part of Romania’s team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
