Strong on the agenda: BESS development in Moldova.
The Republic of Moldova has taken another significant step toward strengthening its energy security by initiating the procurement of a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The procurement aims to improve the reliability of Moldova’s electricity networks, facilitate energy trade with Romania, Ukraine, and the European market, and support the integration of locally produced renewable energy.
Additionally, the energy storage system will enhance energy management optimization and assist the grid operator, SA Moldelectrica, in maintaining network flexibility and stability amid fluctuations in electricity demand.
