Monsson Operation consolidates its position in the international renewable market by entering into a strategic partnership with PLC S.p.A., a company listed on the Italian stock exchange.
On 15th of October 2018, Monsson Operation signed the first part of the M&A procedure and thus strengthened its position in international market through a strategic move in which the PLC S.p.A Italy joins the Monsson Operation shareholders. The integration procedures will continue until the end of November 2018 and will result in PLC S.p.A holding 51% of Monsson Operation.
Thus, Monsson is starting a new stage in the growth process and is considering strengthening its position in existing markets over the coming period. By joining PLC, Monsson aims to ensure the financing of the projects under construction and of new projects that will be signed in the near future. At the same time, by integrating the two companies at a commercial level, the Monsson Operation services portfolio will grow significantly for existing customers and will also allow new customers access to BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) integrated services.
“Through this move in the renewable market, Monsson Operation becomes part of a group that will reach more than 50 million euros turnover for installation, operation and maintenance of wind and photovoltaic farms,” says Sebastian Enache, Business Development Manager of Monsson Operation.
PLC will provide Monsson Operation access to new markets, but will also give Monsson Operation the opportunity to be as independent and involved in strategic decisions as ever. At the moment, Monsson Operation has activities in over 15 countries around the world and estimates a significant increase over the following years in new markets such as Germany, Russia and Ukraine. “With this move in the market, we want to create an international company able to deliver a high-quality service to wind turbine manufacturers and renewable energy plant owners,” says Michele Scoppio, CEO of PLC S.p.A.
PLC is one of the first companies established in Italy that operates renewable energy sources but also has activity for the design and execution of medium and high voltage electrical installations.
