The international financial evaluation agency Moody’s Investors Service reconfirmed the rating given last year to the National Electricity Transport Company Transelectrica SA, respectively Ba1, the outlook being positive, shows in a statement of the company submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
“Maintaining the credit rating at Ba1 level is justified by: the low business risk profile given the strategic importance and the natural monopoly of Transelectrica, as owner and fully regulated operator of the electricity transmission network; solid financial profile, with a low level indebtedness; continuous improvement of the regulatory framework; government support in case of financial difficulties”, specifies the source quoted by Agerpres.
The national electricity carrier, Transelectrica, achieved a net profit of 30 million lei in the first six months of the year, down by 69% compared to the same period last year. EBIT operating profit (profit before interest and tax) was higher by 18 million lei (+ 23%) compared to the same period of the previous year.
