The net investments made in the first six months in the national economy amounted to 39.69 billion lei, up 12.1%, compared to the first semester of 2018, especially on the basis of the increase in new construction works, according to data published on Monday by National Institute of Statistics (INS).
In the second quarter of 2019, net investments totaled 22.54 billion lei, higher by 18.7% compared to the similar period of 2018. This increase was registered in all the structural elements as follows: new construction works (+37.8%), machinery including means of transport (+7.9%) and other expenses (+1.6%), according to Agerpres.
The net investments in the construction sector amounted to 12.68 billion lei, and those related to the machines (including the means of transport) amounted to 7.96 billion lei.
In the first half of 2019, compared to the first half of 2018, the net investments made in the national economy increased by 12.1%, an increase registered for new construction works (+ 30.3%) and other expenses (+4.8 %). Net investments in machinery (including means of transport) decreased by 1.3%.
