Investments represent the healthy solution for mitigating the crisis, and the Regulatory Authority will take care in such a way as to be as attentive as possible to everything that means challenges in this period, said the president of ANRE, George Niculescu, during the ninth editions of the Energy Strategy Summit, an event organized by Energynomics.
“The process of transition is irreversible, we started on this path and it is clear that we must continue, regardless of what happens in our area, in the region. I think that all the institutions of the state… together with the market and the industry, taking into account the point of view of consumers, domestic or non-domestic, I think that together we must overcome all the challenges. We are ready. When things are moving at a very high speed we will adapt, because we also have this capacity – to be flexible and adapt – but I think we have to make every effort in such a way that all this wave of investments that come in this period…to see them successfully implemented”, said George Niculescu.
“I believe that investments represent the healthy solution to combating this crisis that has affected us all, not only in Romania, but also in all of Europe. I am convinced that the Regulatory Authority will take care in such a way as to be as attentive as possible to everything that means challenges in this period, to respond as well and quickly as possible to these challenges, precisely to maintain a balance – our role being the arbiter of the energy market, let’s maintain a balance between all the actors involved – whether we’re talking about producers, transport operators, distribution or suppliers, and, on the other side, energy consumers. It won’t be very easy, but, for sure, together with colleagues from the Authority, very well trained experts from a professional point of view, we will overcome these challenges,” said Niculescu.
