Nicușor Dan: PMB gets 242 mln. lei for the refurbishment of the thermal network

Bucharest City Hall (PMB) obtained non-refundable funding from the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration in the total amount of 242 million lei for the modernization of 30 km of heating network in the Capital, announced the Mayor of the Capital, Nicușor Dan, on the official social media page.

“The City Hall of the Capital obtained non-refundable funding from the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration in the total amount of 242,072,922 lei for the modernization of 30 km of heating network in the Capital. The amount represents 85% of the total value of the works, the remaining 15% being from own sources. 4 of the 7 objectives, with a total length of pipelines of 30 km, were selected for inclusion in the program,” the PMB notification states.

The 4 objectives for which co-financing was obtained are:

  • Objective 1 – Grid 1 South – Pantelimon – 12 km – in progress
  • Objective 3 – Mihai Bravu II South Grid – 9 km – in the stage of evaluation of the bids submitted in the auction
  • Objective 4 – Grid II – III Grozăvești – 11 km – in progress
  • Objective 5 – Progresu Berceni Grid – 7.8 km – in progress

“Regarding the other 3 objectives of the project, 2 have been executed to the extent of 95%, and the last one is in execution, with a completion stage of 70% – the construction site opened in the Ferentari area.”

The Heating Program is implemented by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration in the period 2019 – 2027 and is a multi-annual investment financing program for the modernization, refurbishment, technologic revamping and expansion or establishment of centralized heat energy supply systems in localities.
