Energy producer Nuclearelectrica posted a profit of 477.6 million lei in the first nine months of this year, 14.8% more than in the same period last year, according to a report sent on Thursday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The operating result (EBIT) registered an increase of 3.3%, reaching 537.7 million lei, and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) an increase of 1.1% compared to the same period of the previous year, up to 946.4 million lei, according to Agerpres.
Operating income decreased by 1.8%, due to the decrease by 3.2% of the weighted average price of electricity sold between January 1 and September 30, 2020 compared to the weighted average price of the same period of 2019, under the conditions of sale a total amount of electricity higher by 1.2%.
The electricity production of the two operational units of Cernavoda NPP was of 7,684 GWh, up by 2.1%.
