Nuclearelectrica performed last year a net profit of 149.8 million lei (33.48 million euros), up by 13% compared to 2014 although revenues declined by 2.5% to about 1.75 billion lei (391.1 million euros), the company said.
In 2014, Nuclearelectrica reported a net profit of 133.06 million lei (29.74 million euros) on a revenue of 1.79 billion lei (400.06 million euros) and operating expenses of 1.62 billion lei (362.06 million euros).
Sale of electricity brought the company a total of 1.67 billion lei (373.23 million euros), 0.7% less than the preceding period. From the deliveries made in the deregulated market, Nuclearelectrica had revenues higher by 17.2%, to 1.31 billion lei (292.78 million euros), while the revenues on the regulated market decreased by 36.4% at 357.3 million lei (79.85 million euros). Sales of heat amounted to almost 2.1 million lei (about 470,000 euros).
Contracts of sale on the open market energy deliveries totaled 8.53 million MWh (+ 20%), while supplies to the regulated energy market totaled 2.52 million MWh (-32.6%).
