The Supervisory Board of OMV Aktiengesellschaft appointed Daniela Vlad as the new member of the Executive Committee responsible for Chemistry and Materials, according to a press release. She will take up the post from February 1, 2023, for a period of three years, with an option to extend the contract for a further two years.

Daniela Vlad is currently the CEO of AkzoNobel, a global company based in Amsterdam (Netherlands) that supplies paints to both industry and consumers. Before joining AkzoNobel in 2009, Daniela Vlad held various management positions at Shell and Phillips, according to Financialintelligence.

Alfred Stern, Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO of OMV, will continue to be responsible for the Chemicals and Materials segments until Daniela Vlad takes up the new position as a Member of the Board.
