OMV Petrom auctions a contract that could reach a value of nearly 1 billion lei to build a gas condensing plant at Hurezani, where the company has completed in 2010 a project to optimize the delivery in the national transport system of natural gas extracted from fields in southwestern Romania.
According to the notice published by OMV Petrom, the total investment could reach 966 million lei, VAT included, and the contract is estimated to last about 2 years. The deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is March 9, 2016, at 12.00, and OMV Petrom expects to award the contract in September this year.
Tenderers must provide evidence that the their overall turnover in the past three financial years (2012, 2013, 2014) is not less than 254 million RON and to submit the list of principal similar works executed in the last five calendar years, showing that the works were executed in accordance with professional standards in the field under a contract totaling a minimum of 127.12 million RON.
In addition, they must demonstrate that, at the time of signing the contract, will have access to or will have the financial resources unencumbered by debt, lines of credit confirmed by banks or other financial means to achieve a cash flow of finalizing the contract of a minimum amount of 18 million lei.
In 2010, OMV Petrom finalized at Hurezani an optimization project regarding the delivery in the national transport system of natural gas extracted from fields in southwestern Romania.
Hurezani gas supply project, an investment of about 135 million euros, was initiated in 2008 and is located between Craiova and Târgu Jiu. The works included a new compressor station at Bulbuceni, 11.5 km of new pipeline connection and an upgrade of Hurezani delivery point.
