Antibiotice Iasi has asked for an approval to start the production of two types of biocides, and OMV Petrom will also request a similar approval next week, said Economy, Energy and Business Minister, Virgil Popescu.
“The good news is that another big Romanian manufacturer, Antibiotice Iasi, has asked for an opinion to produce two types of biocides, a gel for the population, for handwashing, and biocides for hospitals. So the market is starting to move, companies are starting to move and I am convinced that we will solve this problem of biocides,” Virgil Popescu told B1 TV, according to Agerpres.
As for Farmec Cluj, the Minister of Economy said that next week he will have the approval to produce biocides.
“We held talks, I think I talk a few times a day with the Farmec general manager. Together with my colleagues from the Government, I put in the Military Ordinance, if I am not mistaken the 4th, the possibility that the army institutes, respectively the Cantacuzino institute can give these notices and authorizations for biocides. So far, the procedure has been very long,” said Popescu.
