OMV Petrom’s gas production amounted to 59,500 boe/day in the third quarter of this year, down 2.3% compared to the same period in 2022, according to preliminary data sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Monday.
Total hydrocarbon production amounted to 113,500 boe/day, down 3.16% compared to the same period last year. The production of crude oil and condensate totaled 54,000 boe/day (minus 4.1%).
The total volume of hydrocarbon sales was, in the quarter ended September 30, 107,900 boe/day (minus 6.6%), of which 55,700 were sales of crude oil and condensate (minus 4.8%) and 52,200 boe/day were sales of natural gas (minus 2.4%).
The net electricity production of the Brazi plant totaled 1.48 TWh in the mentioned period, being 4.22% higher than in the third quarter of 2022, according to Agerpres.
OMV Petrom is the largest energy company in South-East Europe, with an annual group oil and gas production of approximately 43 million boe in 2022. The group has a refining capacity of 4.5 million tons annually and operates a high efficiency power plant of 860 MW. On the retail oil products distribution market, the Group is present in Romania and neighboring countries through approximately 780 gas stations, under two brands, OMV and Petrom.
