OMV Petrom’s gas production was 14.5% lower in the last quarter of last year (Q4) compared to the same period in 2020, reaching 62,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/day), according to a report submitted to Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Compared to the third quarter of 2021, production in the fourth quarter of 2021 was slightly higher, at 61,900 boe/day.
The company’s representatives explained in the past that the decrease in production from year to year is due to the sharp natural decline of the deposits, most of which are mature, according to Agerpres.
Total hydrocarbon production decreased by 12.5% to 122,200 boe/day, and crude oil production by 11% to 59,800 boe/day.
At the same time, the refinery utilization rate was 101% and the refining margin was 7.52%.
