The share of hydrocarbons extracted by OMV Petrom in the total production of the parent company, OMV, has halved in the last five years, reaching in the fourth quarter of last year a historical minimum of 30%, following the natural decrease of the Romanian production and the increase, for the first time, of the production of the Austrian group at a level of more than half a million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/day), according to Profit.ro.
Regarding the share of gas production of OMV Petrom (80 thousand boe/day) in the total production of the Austrian group, this is even lower, of only 27.5%.
At the end of 2015, OMV Petrom produced yet 56% of the Austrian hydrocarbons extracted. As for the share of gas production, this was even more important, of over 60%.
