The price of electricity reached a new record on the OPCOM exchange for the day ahead market, or next day (PZU, DAM) for the current month, namely 1,716 lei / MWh, according to the data displayed by the Romanian operator, related to the time interval 9: 00-10: 00 for the day March 30, according to data consulted by Energynomics.
On the market of bilateral contracts, the energy was traded at the price of 875 lei / MWh, or 175 euros, for the period April 5 – June 6.
Opcom DAM (PZU) posted a result for base energy of about 1,122 lei/MWh and of 1,129 lei/MWh for peak energy.
OPCOM’s latest DAM report, for January 2022, reflects an average price of 949 lei/MWh, or 190 euro, up almost 250% compared to January 2021.
At the same time, in January 2022, on the PCCB-LE-FLEX bilateral contracts market, the weighted average energy price was of 853 lei (172.5 euros)/MWh.
