The government aims to create an investment fund, but not by merging state-owned companies, but following the model of Poland, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban announced.
He pointed out that the investment fund is not similar to the one presented by PSD.
“I am not referring here to that variant proposed by PSD, which meant, in fact, a mechanism for robbing state-owned companies. We will propose a capitalization provided by a State Fund. A fund that allows the participation of any private person to purchase securities of this fund, through the stock exchange. We have not yet decided on the field of activity. There are areas where we have development potential, such as IT, Energy, Agriculture. We will have to decide quickly and direct the resources of this fund to finance activities in these fields,” said the prime minister, during an interview with B1Tv, according to financialintelligence.ro.
