Over 150,000 individuals and about 10,000 companies have so far requested to defer the payment of credit rates, the deadline for submitting applications being mid-May, told Agerpres the executive chairman of the Romanian Banks Association (ARB), Florin Dănescu.

“Over 150,000 individuals (requested to defer the loan rates) and about 10,000 companies. From the data we approximate at the moment,” said Florin Dănescu, asked what is the number of applications to defer the rates at loans received from banks.

According to the ARB chief executive, customers have started filing requests since the banks offered solutions, but the volume has increased in the last few days, after the application rules for Ordinance 37, according to Agerpres.

He mentioned that applications can be submitted by mid-May.
