This year, 43.7 million euro were allocated for the restoration of national heritage sites. Investments of 137.6 million euro are to be made for the restoration of 256 heritage sites and 9.6 million euro were budgeted for the promotion of tourist routes in the coming years, said Oana Ozmen, secretary of the Industry and Services Commission in the Chamber of Deputies, during the Sustainability, Architecture and Traditional Products conference.
“This year, 43.7 million euro were allocated for the restoration of national heritage sites. Investments of 137.6 million euro are to be made for the restoration of 256 heritage sites and 9.6 million euro for the promotion of unique tourist routes in Europe. These investments and efforts strengthen our common identity and give us insight into our values and traditions.”
“We are also talking about sustainability, which, from my point of view, must start from a simple word: ‘dialogue’ and a construction and a unitary vision, in which the needs of local communities meet above all a vision that it must materialize through a sustainable and coherent public policy,” Ozmen also said.
“Let’s not forget that, from the point of view of energy efficiency, interventions in the restoration of these regionally specific houses require specialists who know how to carry out such interventions, they require a community policy in the respective area, which encourages people to preserve these wonderful sights and the area’s architecture and cultural identity.”
