Parapet, an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractor specializing in renewable energy, continues its international expansion by opening a branch in Bergamo, Italy. This decision is part of the company’s development strategy at European level, initiated in 2021 with the opening of the branch in Germany and consolidated last year by expanding to Romania, with an office in Bucharest.
“The opening of the branch in Italy is a natural consequence of the development of Parapet’s business abroad, by contracting an increasing number of projects in the renewable sector in Italy and neighboring countries. For this beginning of the year, as an EPC, we already have 42 MW of projects in the signing phase and are analyzing new opportunities in both the photovoltaic and electricity storage sectors. The branch in Bergamo is a firm commitment to being closer to Italian partners and promptly responding to their needs,” said Andrada Moldovan, CEO of Parapet.
At the local level, the company is strengthening its operational team, which includes both technical experts, specialized personnel, and sales and business development specialists.
“Our goal is to develop the activity of the Parapet subsidiary in Italy at the level of the one in Germany, including by transferring the expertise and experience accumulated in the projects implemented in Western Europe and in Romania. We operate as an EPC contractor for photovoltaic, wind and energy storage systems, offering complete, turnkey services: from design, engineering, procurement, to construction and maintenance,” added Lucio Copernico, coordinator of the Parapet subsidiary in Italy.
The first projects carried out by Parapet in Italy were in 2015, in the province of Brescia. These consisted of mechanical works carried out at photovoltaic power plants that now supply electricity to entire communities in the region. Italy, the third largest renewable energy producer in Europe, represents a strategic market for Parapet, and expanding its presence there reinforces the company’s commitment to actively contributing to the region’s energy transition.
