Petrom will open by the end of the month the plant which converts petroleum gas into gasoline and diesel, on the Petrobrazi refinery platform.
“The construction of the Petrobrazi refinery has progressed as expected. The mechanical works are completed and the unit will be operational in March 2019. The unit, an investment of about 65 million euros, is the first plant of its kind for the OMV Group and will use modern and environmentally friendly technology”, the company reports shows, quoted by economica.net.
“By implementing this project, besides a more flexible refinery production structure, we can achieve an increase in demand and high value products by converting up to 50,000 tons of LPG into gasoline and diesel.
The project, announced in 2017, predicts the conversion of LPG components into gasoline and middle distillates using a catalytic process and involves the construction of three main reactors, multiple adsorbents, columns and pumps,” the company’s report adds.
