Oil Terminal will receive in the next 12 months approximately 31.5 million lei for storage of crude oil and oil products belonging to OMV Petrom, according to a document sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) by the crude oil storage units’ operator from Constanța harbor.
The previous contract between the two companies, also concluded for a period of 12 months, stipulated an amount of 11.5 million lei, but in the end OMV Petrom has paid almost 21 million lei for shipping and storage services provided by Oil Terminal.
By comparison, last year Petrotel-Lukoil has paid 56.7 million lei for such services, being the first customer as importance for the storage operator in Constanța, representing 34% of its turnover; at the same time, the services performed for MOL Romania were valued at nearly 11 million lei, the Hungarian group being the third largest customer, accounting for 10% of the turnover. OMV Petrom represents 15% of the turnover for Oil Terminal. Other major customers are Oscar Downstream (9%), Vitol Geneva (7%), Rompetrol Rafinare (6%) and Euronova Energies (3%).
Oil Terminal Constanța holds 3 petroleum deposits with an aggregate storage capacity of 1.432 million cubic meters. Last year, the only oil terminal in Constanța harbor has recorded total revenues of 140.7 million lei (+ 12.6% compared to the planning) and a net profit of 5.9 million lei. The operating expenses increased by almost 7% above the forecast, rising to 128.96 million lei.
