The budget of the 23 companies of the Capital City Hall set up under the administration of the current mayor, Gabriela Firea, will be debated in Thursday’s meeting of the City Council (CGMB), however, the opposition councilors dispute the high expenses with the “army” of the 10 thousand employees.

The 23 companies would have at the end of the year, in total, a forecasted number of 10,287 employees, the personnel expenses being estimated at 647 million lei, according to the draft budget. The leader of the PNL general councilors Stelian Bujduveanu states that some municipal companies have “average salaries 3 times higher than the average salary in the economy”. He says that at the Municipal Advertising and Display Company the average wage is of 9,800 lei/ month, while at the Municipal Information Technology Company, the average wage is of 7,900 lei/ month, according to Gândul.info.

The 23 companies of the municipality would have total revenues of 2,819,478,140 lei this year, according to the draft decisions to be debated by the general councilors of the Capital in Thursday’s meeting.

Among the largest revenue increases for 2020 are forecasted by Termoenergetica (from 288 million in 2019 to 1.5 billion in 2020), the Municipal Public Lighting Company (from 26 million in 2019 to 131 million in 2020) and Municipal Energy Company (from 26 million in 2019 to 99 million in 2020).
