PMB started the second selection session of projects for environmental protection

Bucharest City Hall has started the second selection session of projects in the field of environmental protection, the mayor, Nicușor Dan, said in a post on Facebook.

“We are starting the second selection session of projects in the field of environmental and animal protection. The projects will benefit from non-refundable funding from the Capital City Hall, based on Law 350/2005, and the budget for the program is of 1.9 million lei. The project submission session begins on August 4, and the deadline for submitting proposals is September 2, at 4:30 p.m.,” stated Nicușor Dan.

In terms of environmental protection, the following categories of projects of general/local interest are considered: those which aim to support and promote environmental protection through the use of ecological means of transport, the improvement of air quality in the City of Bucharest, the development of civic and ecological urban spirit through voluntary activities, increasing the surfaces and quality of urban green spaces, preserving and protecting natural resources and sanitizing and beautifying public space, the document states.

For the field of animal protection, among others, the development and diversification of activities aimed at the protection and well-being of animals, the promotion of animal rights and the sanctions that are applied to those who violate the provisions related to the field of animal protection, the prevention and combating of animal abandonment, the accountability and educating civil society and promoting the benefits of using animals in various therapies, as well as animal-assisted activities for people with special needs, as well as other activities.
