The Polish energy company Polenergia announced the conditional purchase of 60 percent of shares in the Romanian company Naxxar Wind Farm Four.
Polenergia holds stakes in seven special purpose vehicles developing a wind farm project in Romania in the Tulcea district with a planned capacity of up to 685.6 MW, with technical conditions for connection to the grid.
”This is a completely new stage in the development of Polenergia and another great step in the implementation of our very dynamic growth strategy. On the one hand, we are constantly and very quickly expanding our product and service portfolio. On the other hand, today we not only produce energy, but we have also started delivering it to the end customer. Now it’s time for the third direction – going beyond Poland,” explains Dominika Kulczyk, chair of the supervisory board of Polenergia.
The main condition precedent to the agreement is that Polenergia obtains consent for foreign direct investment. The maximum deadline for meeting these conditions was agreed on December 31 this year.
Polenergia is the largest private energy company in Poland. The company’s largest shareholder is Mansa Investments, a company controlled by Dominika Kulczyk.
