Suppliers have completed the recalculation of invoices and no more errors are expected, said on Thursday, the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu, during a conference.
“We had an online meeting with all the suppliers on Tuesday, we conveyed the idea that we need to regain consumer confidence. We have to admit, and the suppliers have to admit, that there were erroneous invoices, that the compensation and capping law was not applied, ANPC and ANRE intervened, a legislative change was needed so that the suppliers could recover absolutely all the invoices that did not have reflected the legal provisions,” said Popescu.
He added that the recalculation of invoices had been completed.
“It has emerged from discussions that in general almost all invoices have been redone, I am waiting for suppliers and associations to go out in public to say that they have completed this operation and I expect no more erroneous invoices. We are not absurd, it is normal that mistakes still happen, but one thing is to have accidents, another thing to happen as it happened – and my colleagues from ANPC can tell you more,” the minister added, according to Agerpres.
