The price of electricity on the spot market of the OPCOM yesterday reached an average of 268 lei per MWh, 46% higher than two weeks ago, on August 2, according to data published on the operator’s website. With regard to the peak hour of the day (9:00-20:00), the Thursday price averaged 307 lei per MWh, up 34% over two weeks ago.
On the other hand, the energy price in Romania was the smallest of the countries in the region with which Romania is coupled to the spot market, according to Agerpres.
Thus, if in Romania the average price for Thursday was 57.69 euro per MWh, in Hungary it was 61.17 euro per MWh, in Slovakia – 60.67 euro per MWh, and in the Czech Republic – 60.67 euro on MWh.
Under these conditions, Romania exported 526 MW at Thursday morning at an internal consumption of 7,185 MW and a production of 7,711 MW, according to real time data on the state of the national energy system, presented on the site Transelectrica.
