ProCredit Bank has successfully completed the first edition of the Sustenagora Academy, an innovative program designed to provide technical training for farmers in sustainable agriculture. Developed in partnership with the EFSE (European Fund for Southeast Europe) and AMAZAG, the six-month program brought together over 20 farmers, offering them training sessions and opportunities for experience-sharing on conservative and regenerative agriculture practices.
Through intensive training sessions, participants gained essential knowledge about soil conservation, adapting farm equipment, using digital and precision agriculture technologies, reducing emissions, and carbon sequestration. Oxana Binzaru, EFSE Regional Director, emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture, stating that the program contributes to farm resilience and enhances bankability.
Valentina Neagoe, Head of Corporate Clients Department at ProCredit Bank, highlighted the enthusiasm among farmers for these practices and announced the opening of registrations for the second edition of the program, aimed at farmers in Romania’s southeastern and western regions. The Sustenagora Academy, through collaboration with its partners, supports farmers’ transition to sustainable practices, contributing to carbon footprint reduction and promoting sustainable food security.
Registrations for the second edition are open exclusively to ProCredit Bank clients, with participant selection based on individual interviews. More details are available on the bank’s website, www.procreditbank.ro.
