The PV installation sector in the Republic of Moldova grew almost five times last year compared to 2021, and a similar trend can be observed this year. “We see a 120% increase this year compared to the previous year,” said Andrei Durbalov, CEO of Solar Energy, which is an authorised distributor for inverters and PV components produced by the Chinese Huawei Group.

Other trends in this market are the increased interest of customers and installers in turnkey solutions, because photovoltaic systems are no longer just inverters and solar panels, but also charging stations, optimisers and energy storage batteries.

Another trend in the residential segment is the requirement for an integrated system that coordinates all this equipment and integrates it into the low- and medium-voltage electricity network, especially as a result of overloading of the networks due to the increase in the number of prosumers.

“We want to transpose Huawei solutions in the republic because it would help the energy system for sustainable and efficient development. That is why it is necessary to educate the market and come up with turnkey solutions for sustainable projects, as it happens in other European countries,” Durbalov added.

The conference “Regional Approach Chișinău” was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners Huawei, Siemens Energy, Transgaz.
