The Romania ClimAccelerator program opens its doors again this year to startups with innovative ideas and solutions from the Greentech area, in two different stages of development, offering access to know-how, a network of consultants, mentors, investors, support in acceleration business as well as financing opportunities.
Romania ClimAccelerator is organized with the support of EIT Climate-KIC, the most important European initiative in the field of climate innovation, by Impact Hub Bucharest, with Raiffeisen Bank Romania and OMV Petrom as main partners this year.
Considering the objective of the European Union to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, Raiffeisen Bank Romania has assumed the role of pioneer in the transition to a neutral economy and a sustainable community, also understanding the need to ensure a fast and efficient transition towards a sustainable economic model. At the same time, it supports innovation as a catalyst in identifying sustainable solutions to climate change.
“There is a huge potential in Romania regarding the development of sustainable projects, because the local market is still in an early stage, learning how to integrate such projects into the economy. We have already started to change the way we use resources and implicitly the mindset of entrepreneurs in this direction. We actively contribute to shaping the entrepreneurial environment and we are happy to be partners of the ClimAccelerator program for the third year, through which we support innovative startups that want to bring about a change in the way business is done in Romania,” said Raluca Nicolescu, SME Director at Raiffeisen Bank.
Romania ClimAccelerator is also a launch and growth platform for Romanian innovators, the accelerator addressing startups in the early-stage and MVP categories with tech solutions in areas such as cleantech, waste management, sustainable construction, carbon emissions management, sustainable production , renewable energy, transport or recycling.
Through the benefits offered to participating startups, the European and national program partners, the structure of the accelerator and the network of mentors involved, Romania ClimAccelerator is the most complex accelerator in Romania for startups in the greentech area.
