Hidroelectrica won a new auction: it will supply the public transport network in Bucharest with electricity in the next 12 months, the agreement amounting to about 34 million lei (7.4 million euros) excluding VAT.

E.ON Energie Romania also participated at the auction and the award criterion was the lowest price. The agreement value was originally estimated at 33.98 million lei, at an energy consumption of up to 100 GWh for 12 months, according to economica.net.

The agreement concerns the supply of electric power for the electric traction vehicles and the RATB headquarters in Bucharest as well as the RATB resting house in Predeal. RATB is an autonomous directorate coordinated by the Bucharest City Hall.
