ANRE and the Regional Association of Energy Regulators (ERRA) organizes the fourteenth edition of the Conference on energy Investment and regulation, an event that will take place from 5 to 7 October 2015, at Grand Hotel Marriott, Bucharest, ANRE announced in a release. This is the most important regional event regarding energy regulations, attended by over 100 representatives of regulatory authorities from 37 countries.
The conference is a traditional meeting point for energy regulators and brings together a large number of professionals working in the field, representatives of government bodies, investors, consultants, bank representatives, law firms involved in energy practice, its purpose being to provide an overview of a field that is growing rapidly and to ensure access to worldwide regulators’ experience in this field.
The conference will be opened by Alparslan Bayraktar, Chairman ERRA, Andrei Gerea, Minister of Energy, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Business Community, Niculae Havrileţ, ANRE president, and Urban Rusnak, Secretary General of the Energy Charter. The conference will take place over two days in four sessions, structured as follows:
- Session I: The position occupied by energy industry in Romania
- Session II: Lessons learned in the process of energy market liberalization
- Session III: Current developments in the natural gas market
- Session IV: Legal and financial aspects in energy

On October 7, 2015, there will be other three major events, namely the meeting of chairmen of energy regulatory agencies member in ERRA, committee meeting on Tariffs/Pricing, and committee meeting on Licensing/Competition.
ANRE is a founding member of the Regional Association of Energy Regulators and one of the 15 signatories of ERRA Constitution, event held in December 2000, in Bucharest. ERRA is an organization which currently has 37 members, independent energy regulators in Central Europe, the Eurasian region, Africa, Asia, the US and the Middle East.
