Following the early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) obtained 52.6% of the vote, the Electoral Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BECS) 27.2%, the Șor Party 5.7%, according to preliminary data.
After the centralization of 99.7% of the minutes, representing a total number of 1.46 million votes, the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova transmitted that the following results were registered:
- Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) 52.62% of the vote
- The electoral bloc of the Communists and Socialists (BECS) 27.26%
- Șor Party 5.76%
It is anticipated that after the redistribution of about 14% of the votes – those obtained by parties or electoral alliances that have not acceded to parliament, PAS will substantially strengthen its majority position in the parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Also, the integration of the votes from the diaspora, which went mainly to PAS (86%), the party of President Maia Sandu will have well over 60 parliamentary seats out of the 101 of the legislature in the Republic of Moldova.
Sunday’s election was attended by 1.47 million voters, or 48.4 percent. More than 212,000 voters went to the polls abroad.
