Rețele Electrice România has launched a public tender on the electronic public procurement platform SEAP, with a value of about 355 million lei (excluding VAT), for the maintenance, execution and modernization of the medium and low voltage networks in Bucharest. It aims to optimize the energy infrastructure by increasing the safety, resilience and efficiency of distribution networks.
„Through this tender, we aim to establish strong partnerships with contractors capable of meeting our requirements in terms of safety and quality of workmanship for the efficient operation and modernization of our expanding electricity grids. Maintenance and modernization works are essential to maintain a reliable, efficient and resilient network that is able to face future customer consumption demands,” said Mihai Pește, general manager of Rețele Electrice România.
The selected contractors will have to comply with Rețele Electrice România’s stringent safety standards and ensure the implementation of environmental protection measures, while maintaining a balance between the needs of infrastructure development.
The works included in the projects are focused on the maintenance of the electricity distribution network, meaning technical overhauls, repairs in order to maintain or restore the availability, reliability and operational safety of energy equipment and installations. The execution and modernization works consist of: modernization of existing installations, extension of overhead and underground low-voltage networks, securing of metering groups, modernization and increase of distribution capacity of existing networks.
Within these projects, the company will continue to prioritize the safety and reliability of the electricity networks. In emergency situations, such as blizzards, storms or other extreme weather conditions, intervention teams will act promptly to repair any damage and ensure continuity of electricity supply.
