Romania imported in the first six months of this year a quantity of electricity of 3.845 billion kWh, by more than 12%, or 423.6 million kWh, higher than in the same period last year, according to the data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics.
On the other hand, in the first six months of 2022, electricity exports totaled 3.08 billion kWh, down by 508.4 million kWh (minus 14.2%), according to Agerpres.
In the mentioned period, the production of electricity was of 28.448 billion kWh, down by 2.351 billion kWh compared to the first semester of 2021 (minus 5.6%), the largest amount being produced in classic thermal power plants (10.588 billion kWh).
