Romania imported in January 2017 a quantity of crude oil of 729,900 tonnes of oil equivalent, with 218,100 toe (42.6%) higher than those imported in the first month last year, according to data centralized by the National Statistics Institute (INS ).
Oil production totaled 295 500 toe, being 2.2% (6,800 toe) less than in the same period in 2016.
According to the draft Energy Strategy, published to the website of the Ministry of Energy, there are estimates that oil production will continue its slow downward trend between 2030 and 2050 from 22-13 TWh (1.93 to 1.15 million toe), writes Agerpres.
