The primary energy resources increased by 0.3% in the first five months of the year, while electricity increased by 2.9% compared to the same period last year, according to data provided by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
The main primary energy resources during the period from January to May totaled 13,534.2 thousand tons of oil equivalent (toe), increasing by 34.4 thousand toe over the same period last year, according to zf.ro.
Domestic production totaled 8,663.5 thousand toe, decreasing by 566,900 toe over the same period last year, while imports were 4,870.7 million toe.
Production of wind power stations in January – May, was of 2,939.2 billion KWh, up by 229 million KWh compared to the same period last year, while photovoltaic solar energy produced in this period was of 752.9 million KWh, up by 130.9 million KWh compared to the same period of last year.
Final consumption of electricity in the period from January to May was 23,482.2 billion kWh, 11.1% higher than the corresponding period of 2015.
Electricity export was of 3,055.9 billion KWh down by 1,285.3 billion KWh.
Own consumption in networks and stations was 2,774.3 billion KWh, decreasing by 248.2 million KWh.
