The Romanians bought, in the first ten months of the year, 5,283 green cars, the sales increasing by more than 50% compared to the same period of 2018, it appears from the centralized data of the Car Manufacturers and Importers Association (APIA).

In this context, the share of this segment of vehicles in total domestic market reached 3.7%, compared with 2.7% in the first ten months of the previous year.

According to the specialized analysis, of the total sales of “green” cars, recorded between January and October 2019, the majority (3,794 units) are hybrids, up 37.1% over the same period in 2018, while 1,185 of units fall into the electrical category (+ 143.3%), and 304 units are in the plug-in category (+ 19.7%), according to Agerpres.
