Romania produced, in the first ten months of 2022, an amount of crude oil of over 2,436 million tonnes equivalent oil (TEP), 162,400 TEP (-6.2%) lower than that produced during the similar period of 2021, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The imports of crude oil rose, during the mentioned period, to 7,227 million TEP, being 1.714 million TEP (+31.1%) above those of January-November 2021, according to Agerpres.
According to the estimates of the National Strategy and Forecast Commission, crude oil production is estimated for 2022 in the range of 3.17 million TEP (minus 2.3% compared to 2021) and in 2023 to 3.095 million TEP (minus 2.3%). Imports are expected at 7.25 million TEP in 2022 (plus 6.4%) and 7.83 million TEP in 2023 (plus 6.5%).
