Romania imported, in the first 11 months of 2021, a quantity of usable natural gas of 2.503 million tons of oil equivalent (toe), 67.4% (1.008 million toe) higher than in the similar period of 2020, according to the data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Domestic natural gas production was, during the mentioned period, of almost 6.6 million toe, being 0.4% (28,900 toe) below that of January-November 2020.
The National Commission for Strategy and Forecast estimates for this year a gas production of 7.4 million toe and imports of 2.32 million toe, increasing by 1.5% and 38% respectively, as compared to 2020.
For 2022, CNSP forecasts a production of 7.475 million toe (plus 1%) and imports of 2.795 million toe (plus 20.5%), according to Agerpres.
