Romgaz, one of the two largest gas producers in Romania, will build a joint-stock company in association with the the Company for the Administration of Energy Stakes – SAPE, with the supply of natural gas and electricity as main activity. The decision was made at the beginning of the week by the Ordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders of Romgaz, according to a document sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange – BVB.
Romgaz already detains one of the 141 valid natural gas supply licenses and one of the 184 valid electricity supply licenses, according to ANRE.
Both Romgaz and SAPE are controlled by the Ministry of Energy.
Romgaz’ share in the gas supply market in Romania in the first nine months of 2018 reached 48.96%, while on the electricity market, Romgaz had a share of 1.89% in the same interval.
