Romgaz recorded in the first half of this year (H1) a total production of hydrocarbons of 16.26 barrels of oil equivalent, down 0.25% compared to the same period last year, according to preliminary data published on Wednesday at the Stock Exchange Bucharest values.
The amount of extracted gas was reduced by 0.16%, i.e. by 2.515 billion cubic meters (16.17 million boe). Natural gas from domestic production used amounted to approximately 2.482 billion cubic meters (minus 8.85%).
Condensate production amounted to 10.613 million tons, down 17.5% compared to the first six months of 2021, according to Agerpres.
Regarding electricity production, it increased by 168.2%, and totaled 544.7 GWh.
In the second quarter of this year, hydrocarbon production was of 7.81 million boe (minus 0.09% compared to Q2 2021), and the amount of gross extracted natural gas was of 1.208 billion cubic meters (plus 0.02%). Condensate production decreased by 19.51%, to 5.244 million tons, and that of electricity was 199.3 GWh (1 Gwh in the 2nd quarter of 2021).
The company’s majority shareholder is the Romanian state, with a 70.0071% stake in the share capital.
