Currently, Romgaz is operating under normal conditions, without being affected by the evolution of the pandemic. The company focuses on achieving the targets included in the budget proposal, even in the current situation. Romgaz cooperates with the authorities and takes the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the staff and the continuity of its activity.

Given the current situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the management is constantly analyzing its effects on the company’s activity. In order to prevent a possible drop of the economic activity with consequences in the consumption of natural gas, in the short term, it is considered the injection of natural gas and the postponement of the supplies for the winter period.

From the point of view of production, it is envisaged to carry out the activity under normal conditions. In the event of an outbreak of infection in a work place, there are alternatives for taking over the activity by the nearest structures. In exceptional cases imposed by the authorities, the situation on site may be different. For now, the state of normality, responsibility and awareness governs the conduct of production activities on site.

However, investments may be delayed, regardless of the Company’s will, as the relationship with third-party suppliers during this period is carried out under a state of emergency declared at national level.
