Romgaz’s executive management states that it “shows zero tolerance for any act of corruption and will support the bodies empowered to conduct investigations” in a new criminal corruption case opened by DNA.

A businessman was detained on Tuesday by the DNA prosecutors under the accusation that he promised a director from Romgaz the amount of 200,000 euros, so that the latter could approve the purchase by the state company of a land from a private company.
According to some judicial sources, the director of Romgaz denounced the businessman to DNA, the latter being caught red-handed with part of the money, according to Agerpres.
DNA announced in a press release that the anti-corruption prosecutors have ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings and the detention for 24 hours, starting Tuesday, of a defendant, a natural person without special quality, under the aspect of committing the crime of bribery.
