National gas consumption decreased by about 5.7% in the first nine months of this year, while Romgaz production was higher by 0.7%, according to the company’s financial report, released on Thursday.

Natural gas production was of 3.950 billion cubic meters, 0.7% more than in the same period of last year and 0.3% less than the scheduled one. At the same time, Romgaz supply, representing deliveries to customers, CET Iernut consumption and technological consumption, registered a decrease of 5.4% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to Agerpres.

The market share of Romgaz, representing the participation of natural gas supplies from the internal production of the company in the national consumption of internal natural gas, registered an increase of approximately 6% compared to the similar period of the previous year, thus reaching 59%.

Romgaz’s electricity production was 292.11 GWh, being less than half that of the production of the same period of 2018, of 750.65 GWh.

Romgaz achieved a net profit of 1.185 billion lei in the first nine months of this year, up 18.9% over the same period last year, according to the financial report.
