Romgaz will deliver 30% of its gas production from May to December at the regulated price of 68 lei per MWh for the consumption of the population and the thermal power plants, according to a document posted on the company’s website.
Regarding the proposal for the 2019 income and expenditure budget, which will be discussed by the shareholders of the company on May 17, SIF Moldova requested clarification that Romgaz has budgeted revenues from the domestic gas sales only 0,2% over the previous year.
Investors also wanted to find out why the company has planned stagnating revenues from electricity production for the years 2020 and 2021, given that next year the new Iernut plant should be online. „Given that in the last years Romgaz has constantly exceeded its budget ratios and considering Romgaz’s sustainable business development and attractive dividend distribution, we believe that the budget subject to shareholders’ approval in the GOSM on 17.05.2019 is too conservative,” say the representatives of SIF Oltenia, according to Agerpres.
In response, Romgaz officials show that, unlike in 2018, when the gas market was completely liberalized for domestic producers, by Government Emergency Ordinance 118/2018 and GEO 19/2019, a significant amount of the gas production of the company will be sold at a capped price this year. „The share of gas supplied by Romgaz for domestic consumption and PET (regulated heat producers) at a regulated price represents 30% of the total (extracted) production estimated for the remaining eight months”, according to the quoted document.
