The safe restart of the technological installations from Petromidia Refinery depends both on the volume of repair and verification works of the machinery and equipment affected by the July 2 incident, and on the procurement of the equipment in the shortest possible time, in order to replace the affected, it is mentioned in a release by Rompetrol.
Currently, the company performs a series of analyzes and technical evaluations in order to achieve the necessary volume of repair works, with the support of its general contractor – Rominserv, and other companies with expertise in the field, and will establish precisely the actions and measures to resume activities of production, in full safety and security at work, according to Agerpres.
Until the restart of the affected facilities, the company will continue to provide the necessary oil products to Rompetrol gas stations and to honor its contractual obligations to trading partners, both from its own stocks and with the support of the trading division of KMG International Group.
Currently, the employees of Petromidia Refinery perform the work in accordance with the specifics of the activity and under the conditions provided by the Labor Code and the Collective Labor Agreement, actively participating in the actions carried out for the reopening of the affected facilities.
Following the July 2 incident, the investigations carried out by the authorities are ongoing.
